Buy yourself time to react to environmental changes.
Sculpting nature to our will can have significant environmental pushback. It’s easy for us to look past certain links in the chain mother nature has developed to correct herself. However, failing to recognize all three legs of the stool can result in poor establishment and/or performance of sports turfgrass: The Biological, Chemical, and Physical properties of performance ecosystems.
Strong roots are the foundation to resilience in performance turfgrass. Strong, deep roots can overcome significant pressure from physical or environmental pressures. Therefore, understanding microbial impact on roots is paramount in developing high-performance turfgrass stands.
What to Expect with Turf Growth Sciences
Unfortunately, performance turfgrass stands are breeding grounds for diseases with high mortality if left unattended. The traditional method to defend against these intrusions is no mercy: drop a fungicide bomb every 21 days.
Don’t take em’ for granted!
However, pesticide resistance is a legitimate problem; science tells us overuse can diminish the effectiveness of these valuable tools. So what if instead, you could hire an army of microbial workers to mine the rootzone for nutrients, making them available to your turf, all while competing with diseases by crowding them out? The Biological Method helps you by:
- Improving the biological properties of the root zone
- Introducing microbes that make more nutrients available while crowding out disease through competitive exclusion
- Boosting those biological processes with the right nutrients, in the right place, at the right time.
Our program is easy to implement and fits with your existing practices. Here’s how it works:

Results Deep roots are the foundation of resilience
Having used Turf Growth Sciences since 2017, I’ve noticed reduced thatch levels and less fertility inputs without sacrificing turf quality. This was recently confirmed by my independent agronomist. As a result, I’ve been able to reduce my aerations as well. These reductions easily pay for the product’s cost. 2020 saw the busiest year we had experienced and that carried through the wet winter months into the spring of 2021. Turf Growth Sciences will continue to have a place in my fertility programs going forward.
